Opinion Poll Survey | Himachal Pradesh 2022 Legislative Assembly Elections
The 2022 Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections will be held in December 2022.
With 68 seats in contention, the 14th Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is set to end on 8th January 2023.
Both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Indian National Congress (INC) had their equal share of success in the state after coming to power alternate terms since 1990.
The previous election held in 2017 saw the BJP winning 47 seats while Congress had 20 following which Jai Ram Thakur was announced the chief minister of the state.
Pratibha Singh led Congress will be looking to reclaim the power in the state while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will also be eyeing to create an impact following their success in Punjab earlier in the year.
The Bahujan Samaj Party, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India are the others contesting in the upcoming campaign.
